Lohan looks to future of Clare hurling

The Clare U21 side are set to have  a number  of challenge games over the coming days in preparation for their All Ireland final with Kilkenny on Sunday week in Croke Park.

Clare have already played  a number of challenge games so far this season including  one  against their All Ireland final opponents earlier this summer and a game against Galway before the Munster championship.

Darch Honan is understood to be undergoing intensive treatment on his injured hamstring to allow him play for Clare in the final.

Staying with the U21’s  and  double All Ireland  winner Brian Lohan believes the fact that the  side have reached  the U21 showpiece will pay dividends in further years for  hurling in the county.

The former Clare full back  is part of the backroom team of the Clare minors and he  thinks that regardless of whether the side  wins  not against Kilkenny  the future is bright for Clare hurling
