Clodagh Nash and Doireann Murphy’s All-Ireland intermediate doubles handball success ensured they became the first Clare ladies pair to officially become a top tier team.
Saturday’s victory over Kildare’s Mollie and Hannah Dagg not just delivered national silverware, but saw them promoted as senior players.
The pair were permitted to play senior events this season and held their own among established stars like World Number One Catiriona Casey.
