The Shams withstood a tough test from Kildysart in the decider before coming through on the right side of a 1-11 to 1-9 scoreline.
Kildysart had led at the break with Keith Murphy’s goal midway through the opening half seeing his side lead 1-7 to 0-8 as they headed for the dressing rooms.

The sides swapped points early in the second half but then Liam Madigan finished to the net to send his side into the lead by 1-10 to 1-8 with 20 minutes left to play.
The next score wouldn’t come until the game entered injury time when Madigan pointed a free and despite a late Shane McNeilis effort, the Shams held on to regain their place in the senior championship for 2019.
