Kilmurray Ibrickane claim county title.

Kilmurray Ibrickane have been crowned 2009 senior county football champions after they came from behind today to beat St Senans Kilkee by 12 points to 2-3 in Cusack park.

The defending champions went in at half time trailing by 2 goals to 2 points in a poor first half of football.

However, Kilmurray were transformed after half time and with the introduction of Noel Downes began to chip away at the Kilkee lead and having hit the front with 6 minutes to go went on to claim the final title of the decade.

Earlier Kilmihil annexed the B senior ttile having defeated Ennistymon by 7 points to 4.

In other football news Shannon Gaels have secured their senior status for another year afetr they beat Ballyvaughan  today by   1-8 to 7 points.
