Kilmihil will have a place in the 2018 Clare Senior Football Championship after victory in the Intermediate Championship final this afternoon.
The West Clare side took a comfortable victory in Miltown Malby, over 2016 relegated side Kilrush.
The bulk of the scoring was done in the first half, with twelve points and David Egan’s goal giving Kilmihil a convincing lead over the Shamrock’s two points – both of which came from frees.

Kilrush played with the wind in the second half but the gap was insurmountable and a further four points from the Shamrocks never endangered Kilmihil’s lead.
The final score in Hennesy Park was Kilmihil 1-15, Kilrush 0-6.
