Kerry Relief Over O’Donoghue Injury

The injury suffered by 2014 footballer of the year, James O'Donoghue, yesterday is not as serious as first feared.

The Legion man was replaced in Kerry's win over Kildare after injuring the same shoulder that kept him sidelined for the entire League campaign.

The shoulder has been re-aligned and an X-Ray has shown that no serious injury was sustained.

An MRI scan is due to be carried out this week with the full length of his lay-off expected to be known at that stage.
