Kerry Ease Victory In Munster Minor Final

Kerry have beaten Clare in the Munster Minor Football Final.

It was Clare who opened the scoring in the first minute – but it was to be the only time they held the lead as Kerry knocked over four points in quick succession to move ahead.

A fourteen minute dry patch in the middle of the first half followed as Kerry looked to close the game down with an early goal – and kept going wide.

At half time the home side led the Banner by ten points to one.

Clare scored once in the second half as the Kingdom extended their lead – as a sending off reduced the Saffron and Blues to fourteen men.

Two injury time goals saw the final score in Fitzgerald Stadium stand at Kerry 2-21, Clare 3 points.
