Eight games took place in the Clare Cup yesterday evening as the competition closed in on the half-way stage.

Clonlara maintained their 100% record in Division 1A after a 1-11 to 0-12 victory over Feakle.

Inagh/Kilnamona stayed on their tails after beating Clooney/Quin 0-17 to 1-10.

Kilmaley and Crusheen shared the spoils in a 0-10 to 1-7 draw.

Sixmilebridge got their second win with a 1-11 to 2-6 win over Newmarket-on-Fergus.

And goals from Podge Collins, Billy Connors, Kevin Danagher, Diarmuid Ryan and Rian Considine finally got Cratloe off the mark in a stunning 5-16 to 0-3 win against Tulla.

And in Division 1B

Ballyea stayed on maximum points thanks to two Niall Deasy goals in a 2-12 to 1-7 victory over St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield.

Éire Óg suffered their first loss of 2019 going down 2-11 to 1-12 to Whitegate.

And Bobby Duggan was among the scorers as Clarecastle held off Tubber to win 0-17 to 1-10.
