Hurling Championship Round 3 results

Several sides are one step closer to the County senior hurling Quarter Finals following round three of the championship held over the weekend.

On Sunday evening in Cusack park Cratloe overcame Wolfe tones by 22 points to 2-12.

The win leaves the Canon Hamilton holders on 4 points and manager Mike Deegan says the side is brimming with confidence.

Sixmilebridge also eased to a 1-17 to 1-8 win over Tubber last evening in Ennis.

The ‘Bridge led by 4 at the break and goaled at the start of the second period from Rory Shahanan to put the game almost beyond tubber who briefly rallied with a gola from Eamon Taffe.

Sixmilebridge manger Rusty Chaplin said the side will have to improve ahead of their next encounter with Inagh Kilnamona.

There was also wins for Newmarket,Clarecastle,Clonlara Crusheen and O Callaghan’s Mills with Kilamaley and Clooney Quinn providing the only draw of the weekend in group one.
