A former Munster and Ireland prop believes rugby authorities should prioritise the holding of the Six Nations over the European Champions Cup this year.

All continental club games are currently on hold, following concerns raised, particularly in France, about cross-border travel as COVID-19 continues to escalate.

Tournament organisers now look to set to proceed to a straight knockout setup in April, with the holding of the Six Nations – set to begin in just over three weeks’ time – now also hanging in the balance.

Former Munster and Ireland stalwart and Clonlara man Marcus Horan believes the international game should be put ahead of club competitions if needed.
