Horan Believes Ireland Must Remain Competitive

Clare’s 2009 Grand Slam winner has dismissed suggestions that Ireland should hold back this year ahead of September’s World Cup.

Speaking to Gavin Grace on Morning Focus today, Marcus Horan sighted England’s successful 2003 Webb Ellis Cup attempt as a reason Joe Schmidt’s side need to maintian momentum.

Ireland begin their Six Nations title defence against England in the Aviva Stadium tomorrow (Saturday 4.45pm).
