Hopes Proposed Changes To National Hurling League Will Have Positive Impact

A former Clare hurling captain feels a change in the structure of the National Hurling League may breathe new life into the competition.

Under new proposals to be implemented in 2020, two new groups of 6 teams will be formed based on the finishing places of next years League, with a mixture of teams from Division 1A and Division 1B in both groups.

The top two in the standings of these new groups will qualify for the League Semi Finals while the second and third placed teams face off in crossover quarter finals.
