Honours even after Anfield thriller

Liverpool and Arsenal have finished honours-even after a thrilling 3-all draw at Anfield.

Despite Roberto Firmino twice putting Liverpool ahead in the first-half, the Reds needed an injury-time goal from Joe Allen to snatch a dramatic draw.

Two goals by OIivier Giroud after Aaron Ramsey had got the first for Arsenal appeared to have wrapped-up a vital win for the Gunners, who have missed-out on a chance to open-up a lead at the top of the table.

– But Allen's late equaliser for Liverpool means that Leicester City have now pulled level with Arsenal on points after Robert Huth scored a late winner for the Foxes as they beat their hosts, Tottenham at White Harte Lane.

– Man City slipped-up at home to Everton after they played-out a scoreless draw at Eastlands, while Chelsea were held 2-all by West Brom after Irish international James McClean (pr: McClain) grabbed a late equaliser at Stamford Bridge.

– Shane Long got one of the goals for Southampton as the Saints were 2-0 winners over Watford while Jonathan Walters also got on the scoresheet as Stoke defeated 10-man Norwich 3-1 at the Britannia Stadium.

– Also tonight, Sunderland boosted their survival hopes as a Jermain Defoe hat-trick inspired them to a 4-2 win at Swansea.
