Diarmaid Nash and Colin Crehan have successfully retained their O’Neill’s All-Ireland senior doubles handball championship.

The Clare pair saw off the challenge of Galway brothers Martin and Diarmuid Mulkerrins in Kingscourt last night.

They overcame their opponents in a tough 21-17 opening game before leaving nothing to chance taking the second 21-12 and being crowned back-to-back champions.

However, a second title was secured as Fergal Coughlan Jr and Ciaran Malone went down in the Junior A doubles decider.

They lost out to Antrim’s Jordan O’Neill and Mark Rainey after a tiebreak.
