Clare’s senior ladies football manager denies the resting of two key players for Saturday’s Munster championship opener was tactical.

Captain Laurie Ryan and top scorer Niamh O’Dea didn’t start the 2-15 to 2-11 defeat to Tipperary in Sean Treacy Park.

The Premier County also were without marquee names Aisling Moloney and Orla O’Dwyer ahead of an anticipated rematch in next month’s provincial final.
