This evening the 4th Annual Johnny Hayes U 15 Tournament get underway.
This year’s event which is organised by Fergus Rovers Ladies Football Club has 16 clubs participating. First in to action at Frure, Lissycasey are the host club Fergus Rovers and visitors West Clare Gaels at 6.30pm. Following the match, the tournament and 5K will be launched at 7.45p.m. sharp.
Tomorrow, Cúil Gaels host Kilmihil in Labasheeda at 11am while Kildysart travel to Newmarket for a 12.30pm start. There are three evening games, holders Kilrush host Miltown at 6pm, Clarecastle make the journey to Kilfenora to play Burren Gaels at 7.30pm while Clooney Quin host Doonbeg in Clooney at 7.30pm.
On Monday, Gurteen is the venue for Doora Barefield and Éire Óg at 6.30pm while the final match in Round 1 will take place at Lees Road when last years finalists Cooraclare take on Banner Ladies.
The 5K Walk/Run is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 7th.
