Senior Hurling Championship Begins Today

It’s the opening day of the county senior hurling championship with seven games down for decision.

Our featured match this evening comes from Cusack Park as defending champions Ballyea take on 2017 finalists Clooney/Quin.

Throw-in is 7pm and we’ll have live coverage here on Clare FM in association with Blossoms on th Go, Centre Point, Hermitage, Ennis – the gardern specialists this summer.

We’ll also have regular updates from the first game of the double header as Sixmilebridge and Clarecastle renew rivalries from the county ground at 5pm.

And Clare FM will be keeping an eye on the action in Clarecastle as Éire Óg take on Kilmaley at 2.45pm.

Elsewhere, there are four more games today.

Cratloe and Whitegate begin proceedings at 2pm in Broadford.

O’Callaghan’s Mills and Clonlara kick off a double header in Sixmilebridge at 2.15pm and that will be followed by the meeting of Feakle and Newmarket-on-Fergus.

And at 5pm, it’s Inagh/Kilnamona and Tulla in Shannon.

Tomorrow’s meeting between Wolfe Tones and Crusheen has been brought forward because of a breavement.

Throw-in in Cusack Park on Sunday will now be 11.30am.

The county intermediate hurling championship also gets underway with one game down for decision.

Bodyke and Parteen clash in the first game in Clarecastle at 1.15pm.
