Clare’s senior hurlers take on Limerick in a crucial championship tie this Sunday in their first summer visit to the Gaelic Grounds since 1996.

Ciaran Carey’s wonder point in the closing stages of that Munster semi-final gave the Shannonsiders a stunning victory.

It ended the Banner’s All-Ireland title defence and another loss this time could seriously derail their 2019 ambitions.

Limerick manager John Kiely says it was a memorable day but they are only looking forward.

Throw-in at the LIT Gaelic Grounds, Limerick on Sunday is 4pm and we’ll have live coverage here on Clare FM in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market Turnpike Road, and Geraghty’s Spar and Off Licence, Turnpike, Ennis.
