Kilmaley are hoping their current situation will sharpen the mind ahead of Round Two of the senior hurling championship.

Following a one-point loss to Éire Óg, the Clare Cup champions must overcome Whitegate to keep their interests alive.

A backlash is expected from last year’s semi-finalists but Whitegate proved their worth with four goals against Cratloe.
