Clare Cup and Under 14 Finals Form Today’s Local Action

The final round of games in hurling’s Clare Cup takes place today with four games in Division 1A down for decision.

Wins for Kilmaley, Sixmilebridge or Inagh/Kilnamona will secure them play-offs.

Leaders Kilmaley entertain Clooney/Quin who could take their place in the top four with a victory.

Inagh/Kilnamona host Feakle, and Sixmilebridge are also at home against Tulla.

Clonlara are also in the mix and could advance to the quarter-finals if they get the better of Newmarket-on-Fergus.

All games throw in at 4.30pm.

Last night, Crusheen and Cratloe played out a 1-17 to 0-20 draw but neither will advance to the knock out stages.

There are three games also taking place in Division 1B.

Whitegate travel to Killaloe at 4.30pm looking for a result that will keep them in the promotion mix and a chance of taking one of the two quarter-final spots.

O’Callaghan’s Mills welcome Tubber to Kilkishen at 5pm while Scariff face St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield at 7pm.

And the Division 5 Hurling League semi-finals are also down for decision.

Whitegate meet Smith O’Brien’s in Ogonnelloe at 2.30pm.

Banner take on Ruan in Corofin at 7pm.

Cusack Park hosts two Clare Marts county under 14 hurling finals today.

Clooney/Quin take on St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield in the A decider at 2.30pm.

And Broadford meet Crusheen/Tubber in the C Final at 4.30pm.

Last night, Clonlara were crowned under 14 B champions after they beat Corofin/Ruan 4-13 to 4-8 in Cusack Park.

And Sixmilebridge won the A Plate Final against Clarecastle by 3-16 to 2-11.
