Waterford Footballers Include 46-Year-Old Keeper

Darren Mulhearne has been named in the Waterford senior football team for tomorrow’s Munster championship meeting with Clare in Cusack Park.

The 46-year-old Kilrossanty keeper was drafted into the panel this week, 30 years since his first inclusion with the Deise squad in 1989.

He’s one of seven changes in the team announced by manager Benji Whelan from the side that lost to Monaghan in Round Two of last year’s qualifiers.
