Clare minor footballer Conor Hassett claims the panel were thinking primarily about Matthew Reidy despite their one point loss to Waterford.
The Shannon Gaels defender lost three teeth and had to wait an hour for an ambulance to arrive in Dungarvan from Clonmel, after a collision with team mate Tomas Meenahan.
Reidy’s availability for the Phase 1 Final against Tipperary on Tuesday week is now in doubt, a game Clare must win to stay in the Munster championship.
