Shannon Gaels and Kilmihil are hoping their underage amalgamation delivers its biggest victory when they contest the under 21A football final.
They face a confident St. Breckan’s in Cusack Park on Sunday featuring multiple starters from the club’s successful intermediate county winners.
Shannon Gaels haven’t taken Clare’s top prize at this grade since 1999 while Kilmihil have to go back to 1987 for their last title at ‘A’ level.
Manager Paul Reidy says the players have benefited from the exposure to top flight football.

Throw-in at Cusack Park on Sunday is 1.45pm and we’ll have live coverage here on Clare FM in association with McDermott’s Traditional Pub, Doolin.
