Domestic Clare Hurling Season Underway This Weekend

The domestic hurling season gets underway this weekend with the start of the Clare U21 Hurling Championships.

Last years beaten finalists Feakle/Killanena take on 2015 champions Kilmaley in the opener of the A championship tomorrow when they meet in Clonlara with a 4pm start.

There’s a local derby in store on Sunday morning when Sixmilebridge and Newmarket battle it out in Gurteen with an 11am start.

There are two games in the B Championship on Saturday when Crusheen/Tubber meet Cratloe in Sixmilebridge at 4pm while it’s a 2.30pm start in Tulla as Clarecastle meet Broadford.

On Sunday, Whitegate is the venue as Scariff-Ogonnelloe play Smith O’Brien’s at 11am.

In the C championship, there are two games at 2pm on Saturday. Parteen/Meelick face Ruan in Feakle while Eire Óg & Corofin meet in Meelick.

At 4pm, Ennistymon meet Scariff in Corofin.

On Sunday, Kilmaley meet Whitegate in Ogonnelloe at 11am

Extra time will be played in all games in the event of a draw
