Dalo Hopeful Of Chance Of GAA Championship Action In Late Winter

Clare hurling legend Anthony Daly says he isn’t in favour of holding GAA championship games behind closed doors but remains hopeful that games can be run off later in the year.

Moves to ban mass gatherings mean there will, at least, be significant disruption to this year’s provincial and All-Ireland Championships, while there are questions over whether the games will go ahead at all.

Focus is now turning to whether inter-county action will go ahead, perhaps behind closed doors, but Dalo, who captained Clare to All Ireland success in 1995 and 1997 doesn’t feel that would work

However, he also still feels that there is hope of Championship action going ahead this year.
