Cooney Hopeful Of August Return For Club Action In Clare

The Chairman of the Clare GAA County Board has raised the prospect of county championship action starting here in August.

It’s after the Association said it still “firmly” hopes that club and inter-county competitions will go ahead this year, subject to public health guidance.

No inter-county games will take place before October, and it’s envisaged that club action will return before that.

While stressing that public health will remain the top priority, and that all guidance will be followed, Joe Cooney has said that competitive action may resume in around three months time.
