It finished 2-11 to 1-6 to Kerry’s Clanmaurice in Newport, Co. Tipperary as the Clare intermediate champions couldn’t take advantage of an interval lead.

A Hannah Meaney goal gave Martin Moloney’s team a 1-3 to 0-4 advantage over the defending champions at half-time.

But the Parish couldn’t utilise the breeze after the restart as the three-in-a-row chasing Kingdom outfit struck two second half goals to run out eight point winners.
