Scariff/Ogonnelloe End 30 Years Of Hurt For Clare With Munster Championship Success

Scariff/Ogonnelloe are the Munster senior camogie champions.

Jim Minogue’s charges became the first Banner team in three decades to conquer the province after beating Tipperary’s Drom & Inch 1-7 to 0-8 in Cappamore.

Marian Rodgers struck the goal after just three minutes as the east Clare side went four ahead and stretched that advantage to six leading 1-5 to 0-2 at half-time.

They faced a stiff wind for the second 30 minutes and Drom & Inch attacked the deficit reducing arrears to one.

But the Clare champions held on to complete their own personal hat-trick – Junior Champions in 2013 and 2016, and Senior Winners in 2019.
