A Jane Dolan inspired Meath came back from four points behind in Navan to get on level terms in injury time.

Andrea O’Keeffe, Sinead Conlon, Eimear Kelly, Mairead Scanlon and Grace Coleman struck first half Banner points as Ger O’Connell’s team held a 0-7 to 0-4 interval lead.

But despite Mairead Scanlon adding two more scores, six Jane Dolan white flags left it 0-10 apiece entering the added time.

However, Clare stepped up with Mairead Scanlon and Chloe Morey landing critical points and it was enough to hold on despite Megan Thynne getting a late Meath minor.

Scorers – Clare: Mairead Scanlon 0-5, Andrea O’Keeffe 0-2, Sinead Conlon 0-1, Eimear Kelly 0-1, Grace Coleman 0-1, Teresa O’Keeffe 0-1, Chloe Morey 0-1.
