Bugler Expecting Tough Challenge From Tipp In Munster Hurling Clash

A two-time Clare All Star hurler feels the county’s senior hurlers will be heading down to the dragon’s den when they face Tipp this weekend.

Clare travel to Thurles to take on the Premier in a minor/senior double header on Sunday, and will be hoping to reach the provincial final at both levels.

It’ll be Tipperary’s fourth week on the trot to line out while Clare come into the game having had a two week rest since victory over Waterford last time out.

Brendan Bugler, who retired from intercounty last year after 11 years wearing the Saffron and Blue, feels home advantage will give Tipp the edge but he’s hopeful of Clare’s chances:

Meanwhile the two sides will also go head to head in the minor championship on Sunday.

Bugler says the U17s are in a strong position going into that game but Tipp will be up for it.
