Four Clare Sides Reach Feile Quarter Finals

The Four Clare clubs taking part in this weekend’s Féile Peil na nÓg have reached the Quarter Finals.

St Joseph’s Doora Barefield’s girls and boys side, the girls of Wolfe Tones and the boys from Lisseycasey are competing in the event which is taking place in Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh.

Doora Barefield’s girls side beat Glencar/Manorhamilton and Maghera in the Division 3 group stages yesterday and lost to Lavey this morning.

The boys side comfortably overcame Gaultier and Killinkere on Friday, moving on to face Killygarry this morning where they rejected a late come back to progress to the Quarter Final.

The girls of Wolfe Tones are in Division 4. They lost their first game to Moneyglass but beat Templeport and Knockninney to progress to the Quarter Finals.

The boys of Lisseycasey are in action in Division 8. They beat Scotland and Devenish yesterday and Erne Gaels this morning.

Those quarter finals are taking place this evening, updates on Clare FM throughout the afternoon.
