St Flannans College have been knocked out of the Corn Ui Mhuiri Cup.
The Ennis side were up against tough competition in the form of St Brendan’s of Killarney – the tournament’s most successful entrants.
A first minute Killian O’Connor goal helped Flannans race to a strong 1-8 to 0-4 half-time lead with the wind at the backs, but with that advantage handed to the Kerry side in the second half it was a much tighter competition.

Brendans took the lead with two minutes left on the clock and finally ran out winners with the smallest of differences.
