Fixtures Bad Press Undermines Good Work Of 20×20 – McMahon

Clare’s Camogie Captain says bad press that’s generated by dual code fixture clashes undoes the good work being done to promote the sports.

Newmarket’s Laura McMahon is speaking ahead of this Sunday’s camogie 2nd round League clash with Kilkenny, which is the curtain opener at Nowlan Park on Sunday.

However, several of the County’s camogie players are also members of the Ladies Football side and were put in a tough position this week when they had to choose between the Camogie game or the football meeting with Meath which is scheduled for the same time in Doonbeg.
