Fitzgerald Lashes Out At Critics Of Hurling Sweeper System

Davy Fitzgerald has launched an attack on critics of the sweeper system employed by both Wexford and Waterford in the hurling championship.

Fitzgerald hit out at Sunday Game analysts Michael Duignan and Henry Shefflin, who have been critical of the tactics implemented by both teams this year.

The Sixmilebridge man described their comments as “totally out of order” and he believes neither side could win an All-Ireland without a sweeper system.
