Sixteen clubs across Clare are preparing for the opening round matches in the Clare Senior Football Championship this weekend.
The action begins on Saturday,when defending champions Kilmurry Ibrickane will begin the defence of Jack Daly when they face Kilfenora.
The 2016 Intermediate Champions will be viewed as outsiders by many for Saturday’s game in Ennistymon.
But Kilfenora Manager Patrick O’Neill says they can’t wait to get out on the pitch and play at the top level:
Also on Saturday, Éire Og will face Lissycasey.
The Townies will be looking to return to the Final for the first time since 2014, and come into the game on the back of claiming this year’s Garry Cup.
