St Joseph’s Doora Barefield are this evening celebrating double success at the 2017 Féile Peile na nÓg.
Their boys and girls teams were two of four sides representing the Banner at the event, which was being held in Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh.
The boys side took a 1-5 to 1-3 victory over the Drogheda side of O’Raghallaigh’s in their Division 4 Cup final.
The St Joseph’s girls side overcame Abbeyfeale’s Fr Casey’s in their Division 3 Cup final on a comfortable 3-1 to 1-4 scoreline.
The Division 8 Final saw Lissycasey’s boys side clash with Limerick’s Cappamore. The Treatymen won that game scoring six points to Lissycasey’s one goal.
Wolfe Tones girls were the fourth Clare side in the competition. They were knocked out in the Quarter Final stages of the Division 4 Cup with a 2-14 to nil defeat to Sligo’s Carly/St Josephs on Saturday.
