There’s been mixed fortunes for Clare sides on Day One of the National Féile competition.
In Division 1 of the hurling competition, Sixmilebridge opened up with a pair of draws against Kilkenny’s Dicksboro and Craughwell of Galway.
In Division 3, Eire Og lost their first match before defeating Ardrahin in their second while in Division 8 Clonlara also had one defeat, and also one win against Kilkenny’s Carrickshock.
In Division 1 of the camogie, Scariff-Ogonnelloe won one of their opening matches, against Kilkenny’s Thomastown and there was one win too for Clarecastle, against Wexford opposition Bannow-Ballymitty.
The competition continues on Saturday.
