FBD Rás comes to Clare

Today’s fourth stage of the FBD Rás is to pass through Clare.

Three Clare riders will form part of the peleton as the FBD Ras travels through the North and East of the county today en route to Tipperary.

Following yesterday’s third stage which finished in Oughterard,  Michael Storan of Clonlara the leading Bannerman, in 88th position overall.

Shannon’s Stephen Teeling Lynch is in 123rd, while Eoghan Considine from Ennis is in 132nd.

Today’s test is 169km long, the second longest stage of this year’s race. 

After going through Gort, riders will then travel through Dromindoora, Killanena, Knockanena, Scariff, Tuamgraney and Killaloe before heading off to Ballina and eventually Tipperary town.

The route through Clare includes two Category 3 climbs, at Killanena and Knockanena.
