Excitement Building Towards Clare SHC Round 2

Excitement towards returning to play has been carried by some teams into Round 2 of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship.

Wolfe Tones brought that excitement with them when they beat Clarecastle by 15 points in Round 1 of the championship.

Tones manager Ray Diviney says the scoreboard didn’t quite reflect the game but that his team were delighted.

Another exciting matchup this weekend comes as Broadford hope to bounce back from a defeat as they take on Clonlara.

The East Clare side were unlucky as they pushed O’Callaghan’s Mills all the way in Round 1, only narrowly losing out by two points.

Broadford manager Jimmy Browne says his side have a lot to learn from Round 1 and hopes they can apply it to Sunday’s match.

Throw in is at Cusack Park on Sunday at 12pm and there’ll be live coverage here on Clare FM.

Clare FM will also be covering Inagh Kilnamona versus Newmarket-On-Fergus live tonight from 6.45pm.
