It’s speculated that Ennis man Barry Cotter could return to Ireland after his release from Ipswich Town.

The former Republic of Ireland under 19 international, who played locally with Lifford, Avenue United and Ennis Town before moving to Limerick in 2015, is now a free agent after being told he would not be offered a new contract by the Tractor Boys.

Cotter would be permitted to move elsewhere outside of a transfer window given he is no longer tied to a club.
