Ennis Rugby Club’s efforts to get their season underway suffered another setback this weekend.

Werner Hefer’s side had been due to play Limerick’s St Mary’s in the Transfield Cup, but the game was called off for the second weekend running.

Ennis have now been given a walkover, and will play Newcastle West in the next round of the competition on Sunday.
