Cratloe boss Alan Neville is hopeful his side will carry winning momentum in their quarter final of the 2017 Clare Senior Hurling championship.

The south east Clare men produced a strong second half performance to see off St Josephs in their Round Three tie with eight different scorers finding the target.

They will find out who they’ll face in the last eight this evening with Sixmilebridge, Newmarket, Eire Óg and Clonlara all possible opponents.

Neville says having that extra game will stand to them

Meanwhile Tulla manager Brian Quinn says it’s doubtful county start David McInerney will be fit enough to feature for them in their last eight tie.

The All Star defender suffered a broken hand in their previous game, and is facing a race against time with the quarter finals down for decision in two weeks.

A late penalty save from Daniel Vaughan helped them beat Inagh/Kilnamona in a tight battle, and Quinn says they’ll delighted to be into the next stage.

The draws for the quarter finals will be made tonight, with Newmarket, Sixmilebridge, Eire Og and Clonlara in Pot One, and they will be drawn against the teams in Pot Two, who are Ballyea, Cratloe, Tulla and Clooney/Quin.

The draws will be also be made for the intermediate quarter finals and senior B semi finals.
