For the third year in a row Galway and Tipperary will meet in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Hurling Championship.

The draw has taken place in the last half hour, and the two sides have once again been paired together with a place in the All-Ireland final at stake.

It also pits the reigning champions against the side many believe are favourites to win the Liam McCarthy Cup.

The other semi-final will see Cork take on Waterford for the second time in this year’s Championship.

Cork were five point winners when they met in the Munster semi-finals.

Galway versus Tipperary will take place on August 6th in Croke Park, with the meeting of Cork and Waterford the following Sunday.

However as things stand Waterford will go into that game without the influential Tadhg De Burca.

The sweeper received a straight red card in yesterday’s quarter-final win over Wexford when he appeared to come into contact with an opponent’s faceguard in the latter stages of the game.
