Double Wins For Clare In Opening Games Of New GAA Season

Clare has notched up a win in each of the opening games of the new intercounty GAA season this afternoon.

The hurlers faced Kerry in the Munster Hurling League in LIT after the pitch at Sixmilebridge was deemed to be waterlogged.

The Banner won that game comfortably on a final scoreline of 4-20 to 12 points.

In Meelick, the footballers faced a Waterford outfit in the McGrath Cup.

Clare were 12 point winners in that one, with a final score there of 2-18 to 1-9.
