It’s claimed the dynamic of next year’s Clare Senior Football Championship will be well suited to Intermediate Champions St Joseph’s Doora Barefield.

Kevin Frehill’s men overcame Corofin last weekend to step back up to the top level after their relegation when the championship was cut from 16 to 12 teams in 2018.

The 2021 championship may see more games played at Cusack Park and in front of smaller crowds due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on Clare FM’s Talking Balls podcast, football analyst Joe Garry is confident Doora Barefield’s young side will be able to adapt well to the step up in class.
