2013 All Ireland winning Clare captain Pat Donnellan says he’s happy with his decision to retire from intercounty hurling.

The O’Callaghans Mills clubman has brought the curtain down on a career that began in 2006, with the highlight coming when he became just the third Clare captain in history to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup in Croke Park.

He also won an All Star in 2013, but suffered a cruciate knee injury in 2016 which saw him miss out on the entire season.
