Details Announced For 2018 Munster Championships

Clare’s hurlers and footballers now know who’ll they be facing in the opening rounds of the 2018 championships.

In the new look Munster Championship Round robin series, Clare will open with a trip to Pairc Ui Chaoimh for a repeat of last years provincial final against Cork on the weekend of May 20th.

That’s followed a week later by a home tie against Waterford before a bye in Round Three.

They’ll then travel to Thurles to meet Tipperary on the weekend of June 10th before rounding off at home against Limerick a week later.

The Munster Hurling Final will be played on July 1st next year.

For the fourth year in a row, Clare’s footballers will open with a Munster Quarter Final against Limerick, while for the third year running, Kerry await the winners in the last four.

In the other side of the draw, Waterford take on Tipperary for the right to face Cork in the semi final.

Dates and fixture details will be confirmed in the coming weeks, but Clare will travel for the opener against Limerick having beaten the Shannonsiders in Cusack Park last season.
