There was just the minimum between the sides after the opening 30 minutes, with Clondegad ahead by 0-5 to 0-4.

The decisive score came in the second half as Podge McMahon goaled to help his side over the line.

Kilmurry Ibrickane and Miltown shared the spoils in their clash with an 0-8 a piece draw.

It was the holders who led at the break by 0-4 to 0-3, but a strong second half from Miltown and four points from Eoin Cleary saw the sides finish level.

Lissycasey made it four wins in a row when they got the better of Cooraclare in a high scoring encounter, 3-13 to 3-7.

Two first half goals from Conor Finucane saw them lead 2-6 to 1-3 at the break, and it was Niall Kelly who bagged the third after the restart.

That result sees Lissycasey go into outright third place.

In the Garry Cup, Cratloe kept their bid for back to back promotions on track with a comfortable 1-12 to 1-6 win over Kildysart.
