However a second goal from Paddy Meaney with 10 minutes to go drove the club onto their first ever county senior title and ended years of disappointment

Captain Gerry O Grady told Clare FM it was a dream come true :

The win more than makes up for the club’s three previous defeats in county finals, most recently in 2007 to Tulla.

The captain and full forward told Clare FM of the motivation for the 2010 Crusheen hurlers:

It is the second season in a row that a team has won their first ever County senior hurling title and it is also the second club side that Michael Browne has led to senior success having led Tulla to victory over Crusheen in 2007.

He felt that yesterday  luck was with his side.
