COVID-19 has impacted Clare’s preparations for Sunday’s Munster Hurling Championship opener against Limerick.

While there have been no positive cases of the virus within the squad, manager Brian Lohan has revealed that a number of players have had to self-isolate at different times after they were close contacts of confirmed cases.

The virus will also impact proceedings on Sunday, when both teams line out at an empty Semple Stadium for a Munster Championship clash like none other in living memory.
